“Magic is life, Spirit is life. So all living things have magic. That’s why the immortals have more magic than any of us.”

Have you ever felt you read so many books while reading just one book? This is it. Witches, Elves, Saurians, Gnomes, Leprechauns, Sprits, Dragons – it has all of these.

Adam Binder, a witch with the power of Sight, to see into the spirit world is on a mission to find his Dad. While there is a supernatural being misusing magic, carving cues & rods of bones – he’s trying to draw a connection.

Robert Binder, his brother who’s on no talking terms with Adam, calls for his help out of the blue. Adam is sure it’s something serious else Robert wouldn’t connect. Annie, Robert’s wife isn’t herself of late & Robert has seen stuff but is helpless. It’s now on Adam to get to the root of this.

On the other hand, some spirit is hovering over Denver, claiming lives of the mortals. Adam has seen this on his way to Robert’s & now needs to find out whose spirit is it & what does it want?

With all the above missions, Adams love life & the world’s complications on his being a gay the author has weaved a powerful story. The world building is amazing with the world of mortals & that of immortals. The travelling between the two worlds is depicted beautifully. This book is going to take you to beautiful & scary places together & sometimes in just the next moment. I loved how the plot developed.

There are very many characters due to the different supernatural elements involved but remembering them isn’t a task. I loved the topic of LGBTQ+ & how their struggle is brought forward; there’s a line “it’s the person that’s important & not the gender”. If you enjoy LGBTQ+ themes, you are going to love everything that’s happening between Adam & Vic. The writing style is easy & lucid with a good vocabulary.

If you love action scenes, this book is going to quench your thirst, giving vivid imaginations. It’s power packed.

The less rating is because I felt that after the initial chapters the plot became sort of a slow burn until action began. Also, I felt a bit of repitition about the relationship Adam & Robert shared & about Adam’s life at Liberty house.

Overall, this was a fun read full of mysteries & adventures & I’m definitely reading Book #2 to know more about Adam & Vic.

A big thank you to @The_WriteReads for giving me the opportunity to read this book for the blog tour.
